He smacks around on his feet, then gets back up as Natsu watches on. He cheers for Sting, having returned to the appreciation of the fans and the audience; he then eyes the red-armored Dragon Slayer. Lucy appears in the arena's video news choppers, informing viewers about Natsu's current state. Natsu and Sting gleefully run toward him, with the latter breaking into his brutal Wolf Attack, and the two immediately send five fireballs toward him. Though Sting retaliates in kind, he appears to begin to beat on Natsu, who ends up accidentally hitting him with his body. Natsu suddenly thrusts his fist, which then sends shockwaves all over the arena.
Sting tries to hold up under his attack, but immediately begins to fly away with a fire explosion. He leaves a fireball in his wake, reaching out to Natsu, who is stunned and at a loss. With that, Sting disappears from view, scaring his fleeing brethren before they see him for real.
At his nearby hideout, Sting is saying he'd always been after the Dragon Slayer's fight and had only sought it to capture Natsu for themselves. He also admits he's jealous of the Dragon Slayer's power for being able to control firebending, and that he wanted to learn from Natsu.
At the end of their duel, Natsu tells Sting that when he finally recovered from Double-Stars and actually met him, Sting is to surrender. Sting suggests they work together in a conspiracy and uses that as an excuse to attack Natsu. As the Dragon Slayer moves to block Natsu's punch with his body, to no avail, Sting delivers one last punch to Natsu's midsection. The former punches out with his fist, crushing Sting's chest. The Sage of Conquerors immediately cries out in pain, though Natsu slowly emerges from his shin's shadow.
