All of the chapters take place at a specific point in time, and you'll likely fight and speak with many of the same folks along the way. It's a great way to become immersed in the world and try out interesting new gameplay styles and tactics. Overall, it's a great sequel to Neverwinter Nights and easily the best NWN experience around, and that's something you don't often see happen.
But, as you continue, the story constantly throws you into unexpected situations, and the gameplay never lets up. You solve new puzzles and encounter new characters as the story catches up with your character. It's a tough game to describe, as there are so many good things about this game.
